    • Dancers check-in will begin at 1:30 PM and dancers must be checked in by 2:00 PM - this will help us avoid traffic with audience guests arriving.

    • Drop-off location: In the lobby outside of the auditorium doors

    • Dancers will be checked in by staff and guided backstage

    • Only dancers and authorized staff are allowed backstage

    🚫 Backstage & Parent Access

    • Backstage is restricted to dancers and staff only

    • Parents will not be permitted in dressing areas during the show

    • Our team will supervise dancers at all times

To help us keep dancers safe and organized backstage, each dancer has been assigned to a Squad of approximately 10-20 dancers. Please review the Squad Assignment List to identify your dancer's Squad and Coach.

    Each Squad is supervised by:

    • A Coach

    • In some cases, also:

      • A Junior Coach (middle/high school dancers)

      • A parent

Each Squad has a designated holding area, which may be:

    • A dressing room

    • A sectioned-off hallway space

Throughout the performance, dancers will also have opportunities to watch portions of the show under the supervision of their Coach. They will return backstage in time to prepare for the finale.

For the safety and security of all dancers, parents and family members are not permitted backstage at any time.

If you need to get a message to your child during the performance, please see the staff member at the check-in table, and we will be happy to assist.

  • As a reminder, costume information can be found here:

Final Costume Link & Dancer Roster

Please review the costume list carefully. Make sure your dancer’s name is highlighted, and she has everything she needs before Saturday.

    A few reminders:

    • Label all clothing pieces, shoes, bags, and water bottles.

    • For those with quick changes, we recommend a skintone leotard and/or tights as a base layer.

    • No jewelry, except stud earrings.

    • Label all costume pieces, shoes, bags, and water bottles.

  • Special hair and makeup are not required for our Showcase. However, we strongly recommend that dancers wear their hair pulled back and secured away from their face. This helps minimize distractions, allows dancers to see clearly while performing, and helps the audience see their smiles and expressions.

We also encourage light stage makeup for all performers. The bright stage lights used during performances can wash out facial features and make dancers appear pale or expressionless from the audience. A little makeup helps define facial features, allowing family and friends to better see each dancer's expressions, confidence, and performance quality from the stage.

For our youngest performers, a little blush and lip color are often all that is needed. Families should feel free to keep makeup simple and age-appropriate.

    Finale Dance

We encourage dancers to practice the finale before Saturday!

  • Some of our coaches have requested a brief tech/blocking rehearsal prior to the performance for select routines.

We understand this is short notice. If your dancer is unable to attend, simply let us know.

Please review this link below to see:

    • Routines attending the rehearsal

    • Assigned call times

    Tech Call Time Link

If your dancer is not listed, they should arrive during our regular showcase check-in time between, 1:30-2:00 PM.

  • Please do not send electronics, tablets, gaming devices, toys, or other valuables backstage.

    Dancers may bring:

    • Water or other clear/colorless drinks

    • Light snacks that will not stain costumes or create large messes

Examples include crackers, pretzels, granola bars, dry cereal, and other simple snacks.

Please avoid foods and drinks that are messy, sticky, brightly colored, or likely to stain costumes.

Most importantly, please make sure your dancer has eaten before arriving. It is a long and exciting day, and dancers perform best when they are well-fed and hydrated!

Please label everything that comes backstage with your dancer.

  • At the conclusion of the show, dancers will be dismissed by Squad from the stage.

Parents/guardians will check out directly with their dancer's Coach before leaving the venue.

To help ensure a safe and organized dismissal process, Squads will be dismissed in an order determined by staff based on readiness and traffic flow. We appreciate your patience. Here’s a general guideline of how we will dismiss:

    • At Intermission

      • Yellow

    • After Finale

      • Red, pink, and light blue

      • Purple, orange, black

      • White, green, blue
