Latasha Janae Casey
’Ms. Tasha’
Founder/Executive Director

Ms. Tasha received a BA in Dance and a MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. She is a Washington Redskins Cheerleader Alumni and has danced for her home team during the 2013- 2016 season.  Ms. Tasha was on her dance team (pom) at Bishop McNamara High School.

Ms. Tasha started teaching dance in her community at the age of 16 at the Suitland Community Center. She went on to teach with Miracles N Motion Dance Ministry, DanceDC, Dance Dimensions, Dallas Black Dance Academy and Dream in Color.

Dr. Nicole Green
Director, Mentoring Program

Dr. Nicole Better Green is an author and educator. She has worked as a student services professional for the Maryland public school system for the past twenty-two years.  She acquired her doctoral degree from George Mason University in 2010 in Higher Education with a focus on teaching and administration. Dr.  Nicole is a long time mentor and advocate for youth. She has developed several mentoring programs, specifically for girls ages 5 – 18 years old, to enhance their academic, social, emotional, and leadership development.   She is also the author of two books: My Truth: Testimony of a Teen Mom and Take Courage: A Story of Hope and Healing.”  Both books are inspiring stories about surmounting overwhelming circumstances.

Bianca Pete
’Miss Bianca’
Lead Coach

Miss Bianca joined the P.O.M Squad teaching staff in 2016. She has been dancing since the age of three and is trained in tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and modern.  She has competed and trained with various companies including New York City Dance Alliance, JUMP, and West Coast Dance Explosion. 

In addition to her dance career, Miss Bianca has a Bachelors in Psychology from Spelman College and a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School. 

Miss Bianca seeks to promote the mission of P.O.M Squad by not only building strong and confident dancers but, strong and confident young women to go out and change the world!

Layla Jackson
’Ms. Layla’

Coach

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. Ms. Layla learned early on she had a passion for the arts. Ms. Layla started dancing and modeling at a young age. She was signed to L & M Model and Talent Agency where she trained with professional dancers, actors, and models. Her dance team won first place at IMTA 2007. In High School, Miss Layla was apart of the B.S.A.P Step Team and Junior Dance Company. She is trained in modern, hip-hop, jazz, salsa, and bachata. Miss Layla is also certified to teach group fitness Classes.

Ms. Layla just re-enrolled back into college in hope's of obtaining her dance degree by the end of 2019. She has been teaching dance and fitness classes for the past 6 years. In addition to her dance career, Ms. Layla is a legal secretary at one of the top law firms in Maryland.
Ms. Layla is very excited to be teaching for the P.O.M Squad. Her love and passion for teaching are what drives her every day!
